Personality/Business Info/Custom Prompt

I need some clarification on how changes in certain sections of Answerly will impact performance.

What exactly does the Personality setting do? Is it just for creating a friendly or funny chatbot, or can it do more than that?

How does Business Info affect the answers?

And the big one, Custom Prompt. It says to use it to override our default prompt. What is the default prompt? Does the custom prompt affect all elements of the bot? Can you give us some examples of the well-written Custom Prompts and the results of using them?

I think a more detailed explanation of what each setting can change would help users tweak their bots to achieve the desired results.

Hi, think of Personality and Business Information as elements that are always included in any user query.

Consider it this way: when a user asks a question, it is as if a new document is being created.

This document includes, at the top, the personality, the business description, and the prompt/custom prompt.

Then, the agent proceeds to search within the dataset, assigning scores to the information it can find. It selects the information with the highest score to formulate a response based on all the available information.

We are planning to change the custom prompt, and we are also planning to release new tools to make fine-tuning the datasets and responses easier.

Regarding this question: I’m shooting in the dark now. For example, if I want to change the way the answers are presented, should I adjust the Personality, the Custom Prompt, or both?

At the moment, I would advise inserting information inside the business description and leaving the custom prompt at default.
